Joshua 1:1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD [Yahweh] it came to pass, that the LORD [Yahweh] spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying,
2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you, and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the children of Israel.
3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon, that I have given to you, as I said to Moses.
4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon right up to the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and up to the great sea toward the west, will be your coast.
5 No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life: as I was with Moses, [so] I will be with you: I will not fail you, nor forsake you.
6 Be strong and of good courage: for to this people you will divide for an inheritance the land, which I swore to their fathers to give them.
7 Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded you: do not turn from it [to] the right hand or [to] the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
8 This book of the law will not cease [to come] out of your mouth; but you will meditate in it daily and at night, so that you are sure to carry out everything that is being written in it: for then you will cause your journey in life to be prosperous, and then you will succeed wisely.
9 Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage; do not be afraid, neither be dismayed: for the LORD [Yahweh] your God [is] with you wherever you go. [GBMV]
Some years ago the Lord led us to begin a training for the fivefold ministry. We began firstly with the prophets as the prophetic movement was very much in vogue at the time, and we took part and were part of the cutting edge of bringing the prophetic movement into full manifestation.
But then came, just before the turn of the century, came a new move from God, the restoration of the apostles. And I didn’t find terribly much in the New Testament about the apostolic ministry. I couldn’t find many books out there that could teach you anything about the apostolic ministry, because they were all based largely on the little bit that we read about in the Acts of the Apostles, which is very limited.
But God showed me, as a teacher, that I can draw from the Old Testament and from the images that were given to us in the Old Testament. And he showed me that many of the Old Testament characters were actually symbols or pictures of members of the fivefold ministry. And so especially when it came to the apostle, God showed me that Moses was a type of the apostle.
Now Moses was given a mandate, and I did a complete teaching which I called the Moses mandate. And in there I explained the fact that Moses was called to bring God’s people, the nation of Israel, out of the bondage of Egypt into their own promised land. Along the way Moses gave a lot of teaching and instruction.
He even laid out the law for the country. He got a tremendous amount, and he got all of this mostly by going up into a mountain and speaking with God and getting all the principles directly from God. And so for a season as I began to move into the apostolic office, God used me as a Moses apostle.
And he began to teach me principles of how the fivefold ministry worked, and especially how the apostolic ministry functioned. And so we eventually set up training for apostles and for prophets, and then eventually also for pastors and teachers and evangelists. And we spent many years while we were in Mexico accomplishing all of this, and then we were pushed into coming back home to our homeland.
Mexico wouldn’t allow us to continue there because we didn’t have the financial resources to justify our existence. And so we came back to our homeland of South Africa. Whereas while we were in Mexico, we were limited to the internet and could only train people on the internet.
Now as we came home, we could actually bring people into live classes and hold actual classes where we could work with people one-on-one, where we could mentor them personally and impart to them and train them fully. Now just before we returned, the Lord said to me, you’ve effectively completed most of your Moses mandate, and now you must move on to Joshua. Now I taught, according to the scriptures, that when it came time for Moses to end his ministry, he handed everything over to Joshua, and he went up to the mountain to die, and Joshua took over from there.
And we just see this exact occurrence now in the scriptures. God says to Joshua, Moses is dead. Now you got to rise up and take the children of Israel.
Effectively saying, Joshua, you must complete Moses’ mandate because he is no longer you. So as I came to a place where I felt I’d fulfilled all that God had given me as a Moses, I began to look for a Joshua to take my place. The years were going on.
I was growing older. I knew I didn’t have the amount of energy and resources in my older age to do what I did when I was younger, and I looked for somebody young and full of energy that I could do as Moses did to take my mantle and put it on them and say, there we go, you take over from here. The task was not as simple as I thought it was, and on two occasions, I chose somebody who I thought was qualified and ready to take my place and to continue my mandate as Moses.
Both of them failed. Each of them seemed to think that they were their own Moses, and they began to rise up and try to be a Moses instead of a Joshua. Now God gave Joshua very clear instructions.
He said, do it exactly the way Moses said. Stick to every detail of what Moses taught you. Don’t change any of it.
Well, the people I chose immediately began to change and to do it their way, and I looked in despair and I said, Lord, I can’t withdraw now and retire as a Moses because my Joshua is not fulfilling my mandate. What must I do? And so eventually the time came when I realized and God made clear to me, you’re not going to find a Joshua to take your place. You are going to have to become Joshua yourself.
And so as the Lord brought us back here to South Africa, to our homeland, He said, I’m sending you there not as a Moses, but as a Joshua. And He said, Moses has laid out the pattern for what the future church should look like. Now I want you to go and build that church as a Joshua.
Go and build a model church to show the people the kind of church that I want, because Moses has taught you how to do that. Well, I taught as God revealed that there were four different types of apostles. There was the Moses apostle, the Joshua apostle, the David apostle, and the Solomon apostle.
God gave me a bit of experience for a season in each of them so that I could know how they functioned. But essentially I started out as a Moses apostle. Now both Moses and David are a category of apostle, which I would call apostolic fathers.
And they handed their mandate over to their sons. So Moses handed over to Joshua, his spiritual son, and David handed over to his natural son, which was Solomon. So we have two apostolic father types and two apostolic sons.
For many years I functioned in the apostolic father types. I functioned first as a Moses, laying out all the patterns and the principles. And then I came in as a David, and I set up my own cave of a dalam, which was to be a training place for the apostles.
Even as David trained his mighty men, I felt God wanted me to call in those who were mighty in him, and train them to rise up and become leaders in the kingdom of God. And I set this up with many live trainings. We had several classes going each week.
I had experience first in Mexico, and then we spread to the world on the internet, training first the prophets and then the apostles. And now as I came to South Africa, I stopped looking for a Joshua. Instead, I began to prepare myself to become a Joshua.
But as I looked at the task God had given me, and I’d given a lot of teaching on the pattern for the church and what I believe the new church should look like. But somewhere along the line, I didn’t have the full picture. There was still something missing, and I couldn’t put my finger on it exactly.
So when the time came for me to now build the new church as a Joshua, I realized what I’m trying to do is to make a change which is going to be resisted by the existing church system, and is likely to fail if I were to try to do it. Because it involved the total restructuring of the way church was run. But I realized as I came here that my Moses mandate was not complete, because I’d given training for prophets and apostles, but we hadn’t given training for pastors, teachers, and evangelists.
And so we spent a season continuing to produce teachings and trainings, eventually for all of the fivefold ministry. And then we set up multiple schools, one for each of the fivefold. And things were going great.
We were having students come live. They were producing income for us to survive and live. And now we were in our home country.
There was no language barrier like we had in Mexico. We could speak to people in the native tongue, and everything was going good. And then suddenly one day the Lord said to me, I want you to close down the schools.
And I said, Lord, but why? That doesn’t make sense. Our main source of income, we’re finally accomplishing everything you wanted us to do. But I knew not to argue with the Lord.
And so I began to make plans to close down our live schools. And I got it done just in time to discover why God told me, because that wonderful event that became known as COVID-19 arrived on the scene. And we were then forced to no longer hold live classes.
We would have to have closed them down. And so God had given me pre-warning to close them down. And so we moved only onto online training.
And so we continued for a season, training people from a distance, but it wasn’t the same. Somehow we weren’t making the headway we should. And we had a lot of people come in, a lot of interest in the prophetic ministry, some folks in the apostolic ministry, but it was difficult to train them from a distance without having live classes.
And the Lord told me eventually just to let the training go completely, effectively to stop being a Moses. Well, that’s all I’d ever been. I couldn’t do anything else.
I didn’t know what else to do. Lord reminded me, He said, I told you, I brought you back here to be a Joshua and to build a model church. Well, we tried that.
We tried holding meetings, and people came for a while, and then they stopped coming. And once COVID destroyed that, it was over. No more meetings.
Where do we go from here? And then the Lord said to me, I want you now to concentrate on the shepherds and not on the apostles and the prophets. You see, I’d laid out what I thought was God’s pattern for the new church. And I figured if I could present that pattern to the apostles, they would begin to build churches based on that pattern.
Unfortunately, each person had grown up in the existing church system. When they came to building a church, guess what pattern they followed? The same pattern they learned as they grew up. But what does the new pattern really look like? I wanted them to move more to having smaller groups and home meetings.
I wanted them to move to the place where every believer gets an opportunity to minister instead of just the kingpins, the leaders. And eventually the Lord said to me, the new church will not be built by the apostles. It will be built by the ones who will run it, which is the pastors, the shepherds.
He said, you need to teach the shepherds how to build my church. So we began to gravitate towards training pastors. And last year we had our first conference in a long time, and we called it the Pastoral Conference.
And as we started preparing for that, I didn’t know where we were going, but I knew God wanted me to teach on that. And as I began to prepare for it, suddenly the Lord took me in a whole new direction. He moved me right away from the structure of the church and the pattern of the church.
And he showed me what really counted. That was love. He said, the church must be founded on love.
The pastor must minister with love. The people must learn to love one another. This was the missing piece, the capstone that was missing from my picture of what the future church should look like.
Now, finally, I understood and I knew. See, now I had an idea in my mind of what I thought the church should look like. And really, a lot of it was based on my own experience.
I grew up zealous for the Lord. I just wanted to get out there and preach and do the work of the ministry. And unfortunately, the leadership of the church saw me as a threat, not an asset.
And they squeezed me and held me tight and prevented me from rising up and getting the opportunity to fully express the ministry that God had given me. I saw a church where pastors dominated the ministry. And I thought perhaps the home church would be a possible solution, where you don’t have a pastor in charge of our home church, just a little group, and everybody gets a chance to participate.
That is what the early church did. Now, the Lord added to me the fact that love must be the foundation. And now, finally, I had the full picture.
It must be a church where every member has a place, and where every member takes that place in love and ministers to one another in love. So now I knew what kind of church to build. But how did we build it? How did we build that church? Well, the Lord said, it’s time for you to get back to Joshua now, because Joshua will build the model church.
He said, it’s time for Moses to retire. I tried to get back into doing the training the old way as a Moses, and it just didn’t work. And nobody responded.
I had nobody to hand over to. I tried handing over to somebody for a season, but they didn’t do it the right way. And eventually the Lord moved them off.
And now here I was holding the baby again. And the Lord said, now you must rise as a Joshua. And I’d done a full teaching on Joshua.
I called it the Joshua Junction. It’s one of the courses in our schools. And the Lord gave me a lot of revelation concerning Joshua.
But the Lord said to me, I’m going to teach you now something that you never knew before. He said, I showed you that you had a mandate as a Moses, and you thought that the Moses mandate was the only mandate. And he said, that’s not true.
He said, yes, it is true that only apostles have a mandate. And I still maintain that. I hear people speaking about prophetic mandate, and I think that’s nonsense.
I don’t believe it has a scriptural foundation whatsoever, but the apostle has a mandate. And each of the four different apostolic types, each actually have a different mandate. Moses’ main mandate was to bring the people out of bondage of Egypt to the promised land.
And he succeeded in doing that. Joshua’s mandate was to take the people into the promised land and let them experience it. Well, what is our promised land folks? We’re not the nation of Israel.
We’re not looking politically. What is our promised land? Jesus said, I came that you may have life and have it more abundantly. Our promised land folks is the abundant life, a life where there is no lack.
Now God provided for the Israelites as they traveled through the wilderness. He gave them manna each day, came down, fell on the ground, was enough food for the day. You couldn’t keep any until tomorrow because it went rotten.
No refrigerators those days. But when they came into the promised land, the manna stopped and they could now eat of the fruit of the land, which was magnificent. When they first sent the spies in there, they came back with these big bunches of grapes and all sorts of wonderful things.
And they said, wow, this land is filled with good things. Imagine being able to eat all that lovely fruit instead of cereals for breakfast every day, which we’ve had for the last 40 years. Oh Lord.
As a child, my mom used to feed me oats until I was so sick of it. So I never want to see oats again. I think the Israelites felt that way about the manna.
Yeah, it was food, but oh Lord, do we have something real? The promised land was going to give them that possibility. Now perhaps you’ve been living a life that’s not that bad, but it’s not that wonderful. You’re living on manna.
You’re just getting by. You’re just getting enough. You know, I found out that God is not the God of enough.
The Lord has no interest in providing enough for you. The Lord wants you to have more than enough. He wants you to have abundance.
That’s why God’s raising up the Joshes to take his people out of the bondage of Egypt, which is a picture of this world system, which is selfish, and he wants to take us to the promised land of abundance. Abundance of what? Abundance of good health. Abundance of good health.
Well, how do we attain good health in the promised land? I’ve been doing my best here, using the world system. I’ve been taking the medications that are available, using whatever treatment the doctors prescribe, but it’s not enough. People are still dying all the time of incurable diseases.
Abundant living means that we live above that. You’re just getting enough to pay your bills every month. You’re just making it through.
That’s not living a life of abundance, is it? You’ve just got a few people that you hang around with, those who are prepared to tolerate you and be friends with you, and you’ve got a limited number of relationships. Nobody really knows who you are. Your circle of friends is so small because nobody’s interested in getting to know you better.
All of these are a sign of lack of abundance. Your promised land, brother and sister, is an abundance of all these things. Not just enough, more than enough.
More than enough that you are so satisfied that you got left over. You got left over to give out. We have so much finances.
I have enough to give out to others that are in need, instead of struggling to pay my bills and meet ends every month. That’s not the abundant life. The reason? God’s people have never been taught or shown how to take their promised land.
Now, we believe that God wants to give it to us. Oh, we believe it. The word tells us.
We cry out to the Lord and we say, Oh, Lord, Lord, please, please, will you heal? Lord, please, will you provide? Lord, please, will you give me favor with others? And we wait and it doesn’t come. You know what you’re doing? You’re standing this side of the Jordan River, looking over into the land and saying, please, will you come to me? God didn’t say to Joshua, I’m going to get everything you desire. He said, I’m going to give you every place where you put your foot.
If you want it, Joshua, you must put your foot on it. Now, here’s the good news. There’s wonderful, wonderful blessings out there.
And that land is so filled with good things. Here’s the bad news. The land is already occupied by enemies who don’t want you to have it.
They’re going to do their best to stop you. Oh, we have an enemy and he’s got lots of demons working with him. And he’s determined that you’re not going to walk in blessing, that you’re not going to walk in abundance, that you’re not going to walk in divine health, that you’re not going to walk in financial prosperity, and you’re not going to walk in good favor with others.
Well, I’m just praying that God will deal with Satan and so that he doesn’t stop me from getting these blessings. That’s a mistake so many believers have made. In Egypt, they cried out to the Lord.
Oh, Lord, rescue us. The Lord sent them a deliverer in the form of Moses. But for them to leave Egypt, they had to make a choice.
They had to follow Moses into the desert and leave Egypt behind. And now God brought Joshua and he said, your promised land is there lying, waiting to be taken. But if you want it, you’re going to have to walk in and put your foot on the land.
Say to the enemy, hey, you, this is my land, get off it. In other words, folks, it’s going to be spiritual warfare. And if you don’t know how to deal with the powers of darkness, you’re going to find that the moment you put your foot on that land, they will gather together and attack you.
Haven’t you ever noticed that the moment you try to believe God for health, you get sicker? The moment you try to believe God for finances, everything gets worse. You get more financial crises and needs. The moment you try to trust God for good favor and good relationships, the relationships you do have go bad.
That’s Satan’s ploy to stop you from experiencing all that God has for you. You need a Joshua who will lead you, who will show you the way. And God has called me at this age, when I was looking to retire, he called me to Joshua.
And I said, I complained. I said, Lord, why couldn’t you have done this earlier when I was younger? And he said, do you know how old Joshua was? He was 80. I’m 76 next.
And you know what? 80 in those days was probably about 50 today. Lord, I’m old. I’m old.
And the Lord said to me, age is not important. See, Joshua was ready and keen in his youth already. He had plenty of practice under Moses, but he had to learn through experience and knowledge.
And when he was ready to go, he was 80. Now, I’ve followed the call of God since my early 20s. And I’ve watched the church go through many phases.
Now, as I’m thinking of retiring, God said, rise up, Joshua. Okay, I don’t think I can accomplish quite as Joshua, but I’m going to do my best. Okay.
I don’t believe that my body is going to enable me to be as mighty a warrior as Joshua, but I’ll tell you what I can do. I can use what I already have to raise up Joshua’s. And that’s where I plan to go.
I can start things off, and I can leave others to finish it. Now, I already have in place probably everything I need to get the show on the road. I have all the writings of Moses at my fingertips.
Who’s Moses? Yours truly. I’m the original Moses, and I have full access to all of his teachings. I have an international ministry with contacts around the world, and I have an established training mechanism for training students, both online and in live classes.
All I need now is a team to stand with me to get this new task done. And that’s what I’m looking for. And I’m hoping as you listen to this, you might be saying, yes, I would like to be part of that team.
Here’s what I’m looking for. I’m looking for those who have plenty of zeal and energy to take God’s people into the promised land. That means bringing every believer to a place of living in abundance.
I’m looking for those who’ve read and studied my materials as a Moses, and you believe in them. If you don’t believe in my teachings, if you haven’t bothered reading them, and you disagree with them, I don’t want you in my team. I want somebody who’s sold on everything that I’ve taught and ready to follow me to the end.
I’m looking for those who are prepared to pay the price to become leaders in God’s kingdom. Here’s where we’re headed, folks. We are headed firstly for the Jordan River.
And as we come together, we will cross the river into the promised land, and we’ll do it together. And then we will engage in warfare together and take the land that God has given us. I’ll shortly be offering an opportunity to those who want to be trained for the Joshua Mandate.
As I said, I’ve already taught a lot on Joshua under the Joshua Junction, but what I’m going to be teaching now is going to be brand new. I’m going to be teaching you things from Joshua that I’ve never taught anywhere before, totally new stuff that the Lord has been showing me. So if you say, well, I’ve been through your Joshua teaching, no, this is brand new.
I’ll take you by the hand, and I’ll lead you step by step in the path that you need to follow. Folks, this is an apostolic function, so I’m looking for those who’ve got a bit of experience in ministry. The apostle should be able to function in all of the ministries.
Only the apostle is given a mandate from the Lord. So before you can take part in the Joshua Mandate, you’ll have to have risen up in to the apostolic ministry or the apostolic office. And you’ll need to know how to function in all of the fivefold ministries.
If you have not had experience in all of these, then your training is going to take you through each ministry to gain some of that experience first, before you can rise up fully as an apostle. Now, if everything I’ve said resonates with you, and if your spirit cries out, yes, yes, I want to be part of that. And I look forward to having you join me, and together we’re going to take God’s church, the body of Christ, we’re going to take it to the promised land.
We’re going to show God’s people how to live the abundant life that Jesus came to give us. We’re going to teach Him how to move in His power and His glory and His anointing, as Joshua did, to bring signs and wonders and miracles. We’ll cover all of these as we go now through all the functions of the Joshua Apostle.
And I believe you’re going to find your place. Perhaps you’ve been waiting for years for God to do something, and God’s saying, it’s time for you to do something. Get on board.
Let’s go forward. Take the land for Him. Amen.
Lord Jesus, I’ve shared this as you gave it to me. I thank you for each one listening to this now, that you will bring the correct conviction to their heart, and that you will call those who will come to join me, to team up with me to follow on this mandate that you’re giving us to fulfill now as a ministry Lord, that we will rise up in power and glory, that we’ll put our foot on the land, and we’ll take this abundant life that you have for each one of us. I thank you for it now in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Thank you so much Apostle Les for sharing your life story and the experiences that the Lord took you through, it is indeed a long journey, and one thing that stood out for me is your obedience to the voice of God.
It is very clear that you you hear God and walk in step with His Spirit, and that is why this ministry is still alive and making a difference in this world. I am actually a testimony to world, partly because of what this ministry has done in my life. So, I took a little bit of time to listen to this message again and again, and finally I have come to a conclusion that this is what I want to do, to continue be part of this ministry, to support in every way so that the kingdom of God God be established upon the life of many through this ministry. I have been around, and I know that the current church system needs to change, and I am available to be part of those who will carry the work forward, and make changes according to God’s pattern . Thank you for sharing this message. I am in agreement with that you shared.
I absolutely agree with all you have said. The Lord has placed on my heart the people are waiting to see true signs, miracles, and wonders. Please pray with us for a breakthrough to take the land for housing and new economic development opportunities under our new VIP Ministry direction. We are preparing the people for the shift that has taken place for those who have ears to hear. We have to be the example of operating in obedience to yield the abundance of God, teaching how to cast down everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God’s word; teaching to be dressed in the full armor, daily praying without ceasing, proclaiming the revelation of His glory to manifest from every negative situation and circumstance. Thank you
