We all suffer at times from physical problems and experience sickness and disease. And often we despair because there is little help from the medical industry and your prayers for healing are not heard.

Perhaps you tried to put your hope in a healing evangelist and went for prayer, but not even that helped. Now you conclude that maybe the Lord just does not want to heal you and there is little hope.

After listening to this message I think you will begin to have hope again, and you will also find a way to break through to the healing that you desire.

6 Reasons You Can Be Healed

I’d like to speak to everyone today who is suffering in their bodies with some form of sickness or disease, or perhaps somebody you love is struggling. This message is entitled six reasons why you can be healed. And I want to very quickly go through the main principles. We have more detailed teaching elsewhere, but I just want you to get the main points.

The first point is you were created to walk in health. Do you know that your body is a self healing machine? Your body takes care of itself without you even thinking about it. If you cut yourself, all the forces of your body rally together to heal that cut. And no matter what attacks your body, Your body will resist it all by itself and try to overcome that sickness.

It’s the way God made us and if our bodies are healthy, our bodies should be able to cope with any kind of problem that they face. Your soul also has a strong role to play. You have a strong desire to be in health and to do things with your body and so your mental condition and your state of mind also make a big difference in helping your body.

And then finally, your spirit actually carries the power to heal your body. How do we know this? Well, when the spirit leaves the body, it dies. That means that it is your spirit that is keeping your body alive all the time. That being the case, if you could identify and use the power that is in your spirit.

You could use it to keep your body not only alive, but alive in a very good condition. What is it that causes sickness and disease? Well, we are taught that it’s based on the things that we eat, and germs and viruses and various other things, but most of the time when you get something serious, the doctors shake their heads and say, Well, we don’t know what causes it.

That’s because sickness actually came originally as a result of Sin. There was no sickness in the Garden of Eden until Adam and Eve disobeyed God and brought sin into this world for the first time. And as a result of that sin, God placed a curse on, firstly on the man by saying that he would have to work hard now against the earth to get its treasures.

And the woman would now suffer in the childbearing, and she would have to be subject to her husband, but to the serpent, God said, you will go on your belly and you’ll eat dust for the rest of your life. Well, no snake eats dust as its food, but the Bible says that God made man from the dust of the earth.

That means that your body is made of dust and Satan is going to eat that dust. He is the cause of what destroys your body. So, number one, you were created to walk in health, but number two, Jesus died to free you from sickness and disease. You see, He removed firstly the power of sin by His blood on the cross of Calvary and He overcame the power of Satan and all of his demons.

He arose with the keys to death and hell and He conquered Satan once and for all. Therefore Jesus overcame the original cause of sickness and disease and not only that the scripture says that he bore in his body and by the stripes that he had he brought us healing. Step number three, reason number three why you can walk in health is that Jesus is now living in you when you are born again.

You see your healing power is in your spirit. Now anything that blocks the spirit’s power leads to sickness. And so there are demons that do this. We call them spirits of infirmity. And they try to interfere with the natural healing power of the body and also with the healing power that is in your spirit.

When you are born again, the Holy Spirit comes and creates a new spirit in you. And that increases the capacity of your spirit to have power for healing. The rebirth also gives us authority over Satan, and we can now use the name of Jesus to overcome every demon. The fourth reason you can be healed. You receive power from the Holy Spirit to walk in health.

When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit there is an increase of power in your spirit and you can release that power outwards into your body to bring healing. The fifth reason why you can overcome sickness and disease is that you have all the tools now that you need to be healed. You have authority in the name of Jesus so you can rebuke spirits of infirmity.

And you have everything that Jesus had actually living inside of you. You have that same power in you because of the Holy Spirit and his power. And the sixth and final reason why you can be healed is that you have other believers who can stand in agreement with you and combine the power in their spirits with your spirit and therefore increase that healing power.

Jesus promised that any two believers who stand in agreement do not need To do anything more than combine the power of their spirits for the healing. You see, your healing comes from within your own spirit. And even when you get somebody else like a healing evangelist to pray with you, it is not their power that’s bringing the healing.

All they are doing is they are letting out the power in their spirits and pouring it into your spirit so that the power of your spirit is increased To bring the healing to your body in the end It is your spirit that heals your body not an outside influence or force Okay, so all you need to do is to get another believer to combine their prayer and their faith and their spiritual power with you and You can experience the healing Now this is a big subject and I have taught a lot on it One of the books that I’ve written that you might gain a lot of knowledge and help from is a book called Tapping Your Inner Resources.

I will give a link to it down below this video and you can go and check it out. And so finally, in conclusion, how do we overcome sickness and disease? Firstly, you need to see that your sickness was placed on Jesus when he hung on the cross of Calvary. So as you come to the Lord in prayer and you sense all the symptoms of what you are suffering with, lift your eyes and see Jesus hanging on that cross and see him suffering with what you’re suffering with.

The picture then changes that it’s no longer you who has the sickness, but it’s Jesus who has it. He took it for you. As you see Jesus carrying your sickness, your body can let go of that sickness and be released from it. You’ll be amazed how powerful it is doing this. Just visualize it. Okay, submit afresh to the Holy Spirit who’s living inside of you because He’s the one who has the greatest power.

You must break links with family generations. Because sicknesses and disease run in family generations and there are curses that run through family generations. So you should renounce every family generation curse on both sides of your family, your father’s side and your mother’s side. It can go back to the third and fourth generations.

Break those curses and rebuke them and say you have nothing to do with it because you are a born again child of God. And then you need to break spiritual links with other people who also have curses and your association with them can often bring a curse on your life and you can come under attack quite simply because of your association with them.

And then finally, you have authority in the name of jesus to rebuke every spirit of infirmity that is attacking your body right now. Command it to leave right now in Jesus name. God may actually let you see it in the spirit and you’ll see these things leaving. And you’ll be amazed how quickly your body normalizes and restores to full health.

If you’ll apply all of these principles consistently and regularly, turn your eyes away from the medical industry and what they tell you about sickness, and see that you, in fact, as a child of God, have a right to full healing in the name of Jesus. And I believe you will begin to walk in divine health.
